Travel

1. When we “come into this world” and when we “leave this world,” we have witnessed many arrivals and departures during this interval; this is a clear and righteous truth. We are neither delighted by these arrivals nor saddened by these departures, for we are realists. This was and is the arrangement: we have come only to depart!

2. We are realists; we do not practice self-deception. The reality is this: we know nothing of the era before our birth, and we have only heard varied, hearsay accounts regarding the truth after death.

3. We have perceived one singular truth and reality: the interval between birth and death—meaning a passage, a journey; the journey of this world, which is the “Now.”

4– When we live with “Reality,” even the belief in the existence of supernatural beings and a supernatural world will not be a concern for us (as long as we have not encountered them and have not perceived their reality). The Reality is that in this passing and Journey from the moment of birth, we are in need: we become hungry, we become thirsty, we seek affection, we want security, and we desire welfare, joy, and peace; we have spiritual needs, physical needs, sexual needs, epistemic needs, and a need for awareness—and we are in suffering to fulfill these needs.

5. In alignment with Reality and Realism, we are compelled to practice Abstinence. To prevent committing errors, to avoid repeating the mistakes of others, and to protect ourselves and others from suffering, we must remain vigilant. To avoid straying into deviance and delusion, and to remain free from the chains of deception and slavery, we must always be practitioners of Abstinence (Parhizkari).

We are the Abstinent. By embracing Realism and understanding the reality of Geographical Compulsion, as well as the existence of prejudice and the narrow-minded perspectives of our surroundings, we have refrained from following superstitious, baseless, and illogical behaviors—precisely because we are Realists.

For our minds to become receptive to and understand “Haq and Reality,” we must first consciously purge our minds of everything that has been ingrained in us since childhood under the guise of inherited beliefs and religions. This is the essential prerequisite for the path of “Thought and Research”; this is the true essence of Abstinence.

Some are so deeply influenced by their Geographical Compulsion (whether through extremism or negligence) that they cannot even endure “hearing” the words of free-thinkers, let alone possess the intellect to understand or analyze their views. We have taken this step to rescue these very individuals, to warn them of the sinister consequences of prejudice.

Note: The formation of family gatherings and intimate, discreet seven-member groups is one of the primary initiatives, goals, and programs of the Hamsafaran.

6. The belief in “Birth and Death” is realism, and in the view of the wise, this arrival and departure mean that “this world is a temporary place,” and a temporary place is a “Journey.” In the view of the wise, every human being is considered a fellow traveler. Through realism, we realize that within this journey lie hidden secrets and truths; truths in which our human rights are also preserved. Now, to reach this truth, we form a great gathering, and through right-centeredness and unity, we achieve our rights. “The structure of HAMSAFARAN (Fellow Travelers) is the foundation of this right-centeredness and solidarity.” This means that you and I are fellow travelers in reaching our rights and the truth, and we unite within a comprehensive structure. From here, we say loudly to each other and to all the people of the world:

 “Greetings, HAMSAFARAN!”
